Respite Care

Senior respite care involves a short-term stay in a senior living community. For primary caregivers who are traveling or will be unavailable for a time, this can be a way to ensure that those in their care will remain safe and sound. Respite Care at a Morada Senior Living community includes a fully-furnished apartment home, plus round-the-clock support, including meals and medical care, as needed.

Respite Care can also be a good option for those recovering from a medical procedure or illness. While serving as a sort of “bridge” between the acute care setting (like a hospital), Respite Care allows seniors to regain strength before ultimately returning to health in the comfort of their own homes.

Respite Care Features & Benefits Include:

  • A fully furnished apartment home
  • Three, chef-prepared meals per day
  • Unrestricted access to amenities, activities and social events
  • 24-hour care support and rehab services from nurses, physicians and therapists

Skilled Nursing

As the most care-intensive living option in the Morada Senior Living family, Skilled Nursing is a brand of specially targeted inpatient care that’s reserved for patients whose health-related conditions require 24/7 monitoring by doctors, nurses, or healthcare aides. Seniors who need constant medical care, like an IV, PT (physical therapy), ST (Speech Therapy), OT (Occupational Therapy) and other continuous medical treatment, might opt for the skilled nursing community setting over others (such as Assisted Living).

While ideal for managing chronic illnesses or health conditions, Skilled Nursing at participating Morada Senior Living communities may also be right for those recovering from an injury or surgery. Skilled Nursing provides a higher level of attention and care which isn’t possible in other settings, yet is often needed (in particular cases) when a patient is discharged from the hospital setting.

Skilled Nursing Features & Benefits Include:

  • Individualized care plans
  • Registered Nurse (RN) coverage seven (7) days a week
  • All meals, snacks and beverages
  • Long-term care available
  • Specialized rehab services with on-site therapists
