Candace D. Guerrero

Executive Director

Candace has worked in the senior care industry for over a decade. Her love for senior care started at home when her grandfather, whom had dementia, had to move into her childhood home. She quickly learned how to reach him and help him feel more comfortable as he struggled with his illness. These skills stayed with her and have grown over the years. Candace has worked with many facets in the senior care industry including home care, community living, home health, hospice, and non-profits for Alzheimer’s/dementia and senior care advocacy groups.

Candace is passionate about care for others but also enjoys her time off. She enjoys hiking, tennis, her four dogs, and family. Her and her husband enjoy traveling and have been to places around the world – China, Africa, Europe. These experiences have helped form and sharpen her world view and her commitment to the service of others.

Brock Rivera

Director of Culinary Services

Brock A. Rivera began his culinary career at a young age by helping his mother and grandmother in the kitchen before being formally inducted to the world of culinary. Since then he has been honing his skills for the past twenty years.

Ranging from hotels and “mom and pop restaurants” to corporate kitchens and fine dining steakhouses Brock has worked in almost every facet of the industry. There isn’t much that he hasn’t done in the world of cooking. The reason he keeps coming back to senior living is that he gets to see the same people day in and day out; unlike other places where you are lucky if you get a “regular” that you see once a week. The residents become like a second family to him and he really enjoys that.

A native New Mexican, Rivera attended the Art Institute of Phoenix where he received his Associates in Applied Sciences. After some time in both in Phoenix and Flagstaff he decided to return to home of New Mexico where he currently resides in Rio Rancho with his wife Ashley and their zoo of a house consisting of dogs, cats and a turtle!

We are happy to have him as the Director of Culinary Services at Morada Quintessence.
